May 25, 2023

Hester Menier, Stone Creek Elementary art teacher and WSD lead art teacher, was awarded a 2023 Randy Schilling STEM Educators Grant through the Economic Development Council of St. Charles County. Winning projects included funding for a district-wide robotics club, installation of garden beds for the study of plants and pollination, virtual reality equipment, measuring tools for industrial technology classes, and more.

Eleven educators from St. Charles County will be awarded a total of $10,000.

Grant applications were de-identified and reviewed by a sub-committee of the EDC's STEM Education Committee, which is comprised of representatives from local public and private schools, along with local business and civic leaders. Winners represent the five public school districts in St. Charles County, as well as three private schools.
