The Wentzville School District named Cynthia Madden the 2024-25 District Volunteer of the Year in a surprise announcement at South Middle School on April 15 with staff, and building and District administrators.

Volunteers are an incredibly important part of the WSD. They play a vital role in supporting the District.  

“Cynthia has been a key member of South Middle School PTO for many years, and our PTO President for the past five years,” said the nominator. “She assists with Teacher Appreciation Week, Fun Nights, School Dances, Coffee with the Principals, volunteers to help with guiding traffic for the new dismissal plan, 7th grade Career Day, Veteran's Day, and too many more events to list.”

“Not only does she assist in planning, supervising, and helping to make sure many of the events listed above run smoothly. She also assists in getting accurate information to families through the PTO Facebook page. She supports our building and community partnership,” the nominator continued.
