The intent of Captain’s Council is to have a process in developing leaders within our athletic programs and allow student-athletes to grow in their leadership skills here in the Timberland Community. National Honor Society (NHS)

The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
Invitations to apply for membership are sent out in February to all Sophomores and Juniors with a minimum of a 3.6 cumulative gpa.
Once inducted, members fulfill obligations of required service hours each year, required monthly meetings, required group projects, required fundraisers and must maintain the pillars of Scholarship, Service, Leadership and Character.
The chapter follows bylaws created by the national chapter as well as local chapter by-laws approved by a Faculty Council. We are happy to share this information.
