What's your favorite thing about Stone Creek?

Dr. Bishop- Currently: Everything is fresh and that we get to build something great. Soon: Students!!!

Mrs. Armbruster-The buzz of excitement around a new building is amazing.  To be able to have a fresh start to plan excellence for our students is the best opportunity to be given. I’m really looking forward to being in the building full of students, staff, and Stone Creek families.

    What are you scared of?

Dr. Bishop- I am scared of people getting hurt. I worry a lot about my children and students and keeping them safe.

Mrs. Armbruster- I’ve always been afraid of thunderstorms.  As an adult, I have tried to always put a brave face on for those around me but deep down I’m still the little girl who was scared of storms.

What was your best subject in school?  What was your worst subject?

Dr. Bishop I absolutely loved music as a student but found out I did not have many talents in that area but I kept trying!! My worst was and still is spelling. Thank goodness for spell check!!

Mrs. Armbruster- My best subject was writing.  Whenever I was upset, I went to writing to express my thoughts, feelings and passion.  My worse subject was math. I was the type of math student who just memorized the steps and if things went different than exactly what I taught I was sunk.  When I became an elementary teacher, I found teaching helped me find a deeper understanding to math.

What was the hardest thing you've had to learn?

Dr. Bishop- Patience! I want to fix or do everything RIGHT NOW! I have had to learn that you sometimes have to wait and work a little harder to get to those things you want.

Mrs. Armbruster- As a child, I was a gymnast. The hardest thing I had to learn was a kip.  This was a move on the uneven bars. Any gymnast can remember the day she finally made her kip. From this trick, I learned perseverance.  Sometimes when you really want something you have to be willing to work for a long time, try it many different ways, listen to your coaches, and never give up.  My lesson from the kip is something I use in my life all the time.

What is your favorite sports team?

Dr. Bishop- The Cardinals of course and being from Kentucky I am a HUGE Kentucky Basketball Fan!!

Mrs. Armbruster-I grew up in Ohio and was properly raised to cheer for The Ohio State Football team.  My greatest wish was granted last year when I went to Ohio State vs. Michigan game and witnessed Ohio State beat Michigan in overtime.  I am also a huge fan of March Madness.

If you could do any other job in the world other than principal, what would you pick?

Dr. Bishop- I think I would be a tour guide at Disney World. Love that place!

Mrs. Armbruster- I think I would be an emergency room doctor.

    What was your first job?

Dr. Bishop- I was a busboy/ dishwasher when I was 14. Hard work but fun place and great people.

Mrs. Armbruster- I worked at ice cream stand. Best part was we were allowed to eat whatever we wanted.
