A Successful Season for WSD Cheer

This year's cheerleading season in the Wentzville School District was marked by significant achievements from our high school teams. Holt, Liberty, North Point, and Timberland high schools each demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication, earning impressive results at both state and national competitions.
The Holt High School varsity cheerleading team had a successful season, placing third at the Missouri Cheerleading Coaches Association (MCCA) regionals and subsequently finishing in the top 10 of the 4A small category at the state championship.

Liberty High School varsity cheerleading team experienced a successful year in both sideline support and competitive cheerleading. The team supported football and basketball seasons before participating in a program-record number of competitions. They achieved second place at the Missouri STL Regionals and the Missouri KC Regionals, and fourth place at the Missouri State Competition. Subsequently, the team competed at the Universal Cheerleaders Association
(UCA) Regional Competition in Indianapolis, IN, placing fifth and earning a bid to the UCA High School National Championship in Orlando, FL. At Nationals, the team achieved program-first skills at the national competition and were satisfied with their performance.

North Point High School's varsity cheerleading team were the back-to-back 4A Large Division state champions in the MCCA. Read the full story here.
The team went on to compete in the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) High School National Championship in Dallas, Tx, Feb. 28-Mar. 2. The team placed 4th in the Advanced Varsity Crowd Leading - Medium Finals.

Timberland High School's (THS) varsity cheerleading team capped off a successful season by competing on the national stage on Feb. 7. The team placed first in the Small Varsity Coed Division at the UCA Hoosier Regional on Nov. 18 to earn its bid to UCA Nationals.
Their dedication and talent shone brightly at the MCCA state competition on Nov. 1, where they secured a commendable third-place finish in the Small Coed Division. Gracyn Horst earned All-State awards as a base. Gracyn Horst, Pierce Sansone, Ava Lawrence, Ava Grace Reynolds, Taylor Robinson, and Sydney Swanson all earned Academic All-State awards by earning at least a 3.5 GPA and scoring at least a 24 composite ACT or ranking in the top 20% of their class.
On Feb. 22, several members of the THS cheerleading team competed at the Missouri State Stunt Group Championship at Drury University in Springfield, Mo. The coed team of Pierce Sansone (base), Lilly Collazo (flyer), and Scarlett Kaden (spotter) placed fourth. The all-girl team of Sydney Swanson (backspot), Gracyn Horst (base), Lexi O'Bryan (base), and Alyssa Crider (flyer) hit a flawless routine and placed fourth out of over 30 teams.
