  • WSD Students Host 5th Annual Film Festival

    The WSD held its 5th Annual Film Festival, which was presented as an online premiere on April 28. The Festival, supported by grants from the Wentzville School District Foundation, highlights films written and produced by students in grades K-12.

  • WSD Hires New Coordinator for Parents as Teachers

    The WSD Board of Education has approved the hiring of Melissa Lamb as Coordinator for Parents as Teachers, effective July 1, 2021. Ms. Lamb is currently a Parent Educator for Wentzville School District where she has worked since January 2002.

  • WSD Hires New Director of Purchasing

    The WSD Board of Education has approved the hiring of Lisa Salisbury as Director of Purchasing, effective July 1, 2021. Ms. Salisbury is currently the Budget and Procurement Officer for the City of O’Fallon Police Department where she has worked since 2005.

  • WSD Hires New Director of Transportation

    The WSD Board of Education has approved the hiring of Kim Boix as Director of Transportation, effective July 1, 2021. Ms. Boix is currently one of the Operations Managers for the Wentzville School District Transportation Department where she has worked since 2014.

    The WSD Board of Education has approved the hiring of Dr. Keri Skeeters as Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning, effective July 1, 2021. Dr. Skeeters is currently the Director of Instructional Programming in the Teaching and Learning Department and has been with the Wentzville School District since 2002.

  • WSD Musicians Excel at State Solo and Ensemble Festival

    Holt, Liberty, and Timberland’s top musicians competed in the MSHSAA State Solo and Ensemble Festival, which was held virtually in March this year due to the pandemic. WSD musicians, singers, and ensembles earned 44 gold, 55 silver, and 12 bronze ratings.

  • WSD FBLA Students Advance to Nationals

    Students from Holt, Liberty and Timberland high schools competed at the Missouri Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Leadership Conference held virtually this year due to the pandemic, April 11-13. Nineteen WSD students brought home medals from the competition and eight of those students took top honors, qualifying them to advance to the National FBLA Leadership Conference.

  • WSD Students Win Annual Cuivre River Youth Tour Competition

    Four students from the WSD have been selected as winners in the Cuivre River Electric Cooperative’s 53rd Annual Youth Tour Competition. Sanjana Anand, Taylor Shay-Jakul, Amanda Yoder, and Jaden Zelidon from Liberty High School were selected as four of six winners out of almost 60 entrants from 12 area high schools in the annual contest that begins with an essay submission.

  • WSD Students Selected to Attend American Legion Auxiliary Girls State

    Three Wentzville School District sophomores have been selected to attend the American Legion Auxiliary Girls State of Missouri. One student was chosen from each WSD high school; Hanna Flacke (Holt), Sanjana Anand (Liberty), and Nora Pryor (Timberland).

  • WSD Students Qualify to Compete at DECA International Conference

    Nearly 1,600 high school marketing students from across the state competed in the annual Missouri DECA State Career Development Conference, which was held virtually March 8-19 this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After successful results in their competitions, 40 WSD students will compete in the DECA International Career Development Conference, which will take place virtually this year, April 24-27.

  • WSD HOSA Students Advance to International Competition

    Students in the Holt, Liberty and Timberland high school HOSA chapters competed in the Missouri HOSA State Leadership Conference, which was held virtually March 22-26 this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Twelve WSD students brought home an award and qualified to move on to the HOSA 44th Annual International Leadership Conference.

  • Holt Teacher Named Advanced Science and Research Program Semi-Finalist

    Holt High School science teacher Jennifer Hess has been named an Advanced Science Research Teaching (ASRT) Program Semi-Finalist. The ASRT Program, funded by Regeneron and ZEISS, is an educational outreach program designed to equip high school teachers with knowledge, insight, and activities to increase science research opportunities for their students.

  • Two Wentzville Students Earn MASC Distinguished Student Leader Awards

    Timberland High School seniors Lindsey Schmidt and Sophie Warren have received the Distinguished Student Leader Award from the Missouri Association of Student Councils (MASC). This award recognizes Missouri students who demonstrate superior student council leadership skills and knowledge based on MASC criteria and evaluation procedures.

  • WSD Bus Fleet Qualifies for Excellence Award

    The Wentzville School District Transportation bus fleet was inspected by the Missouri State Highway Patrol on March 15, 16, and 17 and was found to have an approval rate of 98.9% for first-time presentations. For reference, the statewide average in 2020 was 89.1%.
