A large number of students at Pearce Hall start or end their week with yoga therapy. Yoga is offered at Pearce Hall in an effort to enhance students' mindfulness and overall well-being. Through yoga postures and breathing techniques, participants learn to manage difficult feelings, increase flexibility and physical health, and become aware of their own body's subtle signals. Advanced yoga techniques are offered for select groups of students, and some students enroll in yoga as part of a physical education credit. In yoga therapy, students are given a chance to explore their strengths, find peace of mind and body, and develop focus and balance on and off the mat.
