    The Wentzville School District/Lou Fusz Student-Athlete of the Month aims to recognize varsity student-athletes for their achievements in the classroom, commitment, sportsmanship, and teamwork. The student-athletes below were honored for their performances during February 2020.

     March 2020 Student-Athletes of the Month


    Ashley Meyer scored 120 points and grabbed 69 rebounds during her senior season as a member of the Holt girls basketball team. She appeared in all 27 games the team played this season, finishing with an 18-9 record and district runner up. Ashley tallied season highs vs. Francis Howell on January 10 with 15 points and 8 rebounds. A hard-working student in the classroom, she is also a member of Student Council. 

    Nathan Undertajlo recently placed sixth at the State Championships and capped his career as a three-time state qualifier and a two-time medalist. During the season, he placed 3rd at the Thrasher tournament, 2nd at the GAC Championship and reached the 100-win mark for his career. He was also selected 2nd team all GAC.


    Aimee Weber is part of the State Champion Liberty Belles Dance team that earned first place with their Pom routine and first place with there Lyrical Dance routine. Aimee is known for her leadership, work ethic, and kindness. Aimee is also a member of Student Council and carries at 4.458 weighted GPA.

    Jackson Ward had a very good junior season on the wrestling mat, capped with being named 1st team all-conference. Some of his achievements this season include 5th place at Fort Madison, 3rd place at St. Charles and the GAC Championships, 2nd place at districts and the champion at St. Clair. Jackson is also a member of Student Council and has a 3.914 weighted GPA.


    Elise placed 2nd in the 200 free and 3rd in the 500 free at the GAC championships and made it to state on consideration times in both events. Additionally, Elise was a huge factor in the team’s top 8 relays at the GAC meet and was a part of the 200 free relay team that placed 12th at State. Elise also persevered through the state championships while not at 100% to help the team to her best ability. 

    Chase finished his senior wrestling season with a 3rd place finish at the State Tournament and a final season record of 41-4. Chase has been a leader for the wrestling team all season and his hard work and dedication are what drives his success. He has this same drive in the classroom, continually balancing being a STUDENT-Athlete all through high school, and has maintained high grades. Chase recently committed to play football in college at Washburn.
