• District Professional Development Committee

    The District Professional Development Committee (DPDC) and Building Professional Committees (BPDC) shall:

    • Work with beginning teachers, experienced teachers and the Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment Department in identifying instructional concerns and remedies;
    • Serve as a confidential consultant upon a teacher’s request;
    • Arrange training programs for mentors;
    • Assess faculty needs;
    • Develop in-service opportunities for school staff;
    • Present the Superintendent with faculty suggestions, ideas and recommendations pertaining to classroom instruction within the District;
    • Maintain appropriate paperwork as required by DESE;
    • Maintain the building and district professional development budget from state and local funds received through the school foundation program as provided by Senate Bill 380 and the Missouri Professional Development Guidelines for Student Success.
