    FAMILY REGISTRATION
All athletes are required to complete the online athletic registration for each season & every sport played that season.

FINAL CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED FOR ALL ATHLETES FOR EACH SPORT! To keep everyone safe during COVID, final clearances will be emailed to families, after you've updated your Family Athletic Registration with the sport(s) you want to play. The Family Registration system DOES NOT automatically generate the Final Clearance after you register.

All athletes must register for their Final Clearance by Wednesday, 10/28/2020 in order to participate in tryouts/practices on Monday, 11/2/2020. NO REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ALLOWED AFTER WEDNESDAY, 10/28/2020 TO ALLOW TIME TO COMPILE REPORTS FOR THE COACHES ON MONDAY, 11/2/2020.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in taking care of everything to ensure you are ready to participate in practices/tryouts on the first day of Winter sports.

PHYSICALS - VALID FOR 2 YEARS FROM DATE OF THE PHYSICAL
Per MSHSAA guidelines, a physical is valid for two years from the date of the physical. Print a copy of the new MSHSAA physical packet (SIX PAGES TOTAL) on our website, from the Family Athletic Registration page or pick up a copy in the Activities office #527 before going to your Doctor. Please turn in all six pages of the MSHSAA physical packet. A friendly reminder that we DO NOT ACCEPT faxed copies of your MSHSAA Physical. The MSHSAA Physical, all six pages completed, may be brought to the Activities office. Students can drop off their physicals before school, after school or during lunch.

IMPACT TESTING (REQUIRED EVERY 2 YEARS)
Click here for ImPact test dates for Winter sports. Generally speaking, Freshman, Juniors, transfers and anyone new to sports will need to take an ImPact test. This is done by our Athletic Trainer on the dates & times specified. No appointment is necessary.

STUDENT ATHLETE ATTENDANCE FOR PARTICIPATION IN COMPETITION
MSHSAA requires that all student athletes meet certain citizenship requirements in order to compete in school sports. One item that there has been some misunderstanding with is school attendance.

MSHSAA requires that a student must attend 100% of the school day in order to participate in a competition (game). That means if a game is on a Saturday, the student must attend 100% of the day the Friday before the game. If the game is on a regular school day the student MAY NOT MISS ANY PART OF THAT DAY.  The student MAY ONLY BE EXCUSED BY CONTACTING THE ACTIVITIES OFFICE WITH 24 HOURS NOTICE. In order to receive an excused absence for sports, you must call or e-mail the Activities Office at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. You may call or email Beth Finder, Assistant to the Activities Director or Mr. Todd Hayes, Activities Director. Please note that by simply placing a call or sending an e-mail DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOUR STUDENT ATHLETE HAS BEEN EXCUSED FOR THIS ABSENCE FOR COMPETITION (GAME). ONCE YOU HAVE SPOKEN TO ONE OF US OR WE HAVE REPLIED TO YOUR EMAIL WITH VERIFICATION THAT ABSENCE HAS BEEN EXCUSED, THEN YOUR STUDENT ATHLETE IS EXCUSED FOR THAT COMPETITION (GAME).

These Competition (game) excusals are handled on an individual basis. An example of an excused absence is a physician appointment. We encourage all of our student athletes to avoid making appointments on practice & game days to be in 100% attendance to be eligible to participate.
